Hey people , new here so maybee someone out there whos knows there stuff can help me?
Basically, i have a k850i (o2 branded) which is factory unlocked as it came on contract. I now have a orange sim card, but i can only connect to gsm and not 3g?. When the phone is turned on the 3g sign comes up along with a phone with a red arrow. When this happens the signal decreases and then connects to gsm and the 3g and other icon go?. A virgin sim connects to its 3g no problem. Any ideas?
Many thanks

It sounds like the Orange sim is not a 3G sim.

This may be a silly question, but have you got the right settings installed?

For example, with my O2 sim I don't think my O2 GPRS won't connect to 3G, I'd need to use my Mobileweb settings. Could be the same with your Orange sim?

o2 3g?, im trying to connect to orange 3g. I mentioned that on the phone about the sim but they said that doesnt matter. The sim came about a month ago. And yes they sent me the settings but that didnt do nothing!
But the phone isnt connected to 3g in its normal stand by status. I dont understand.

Have you tried the sim in another 3g phone? That will clarify whether it is the phone or the sim.
