W880i Alarm couldn't wake a cat |

Just bought W880i to replace 3 year old K700
I use the alarm to wake up for work - W880i alarm is pitifully quiet and useless for this (i still have to use my K700)
Should i send the phone back for a replacement or is this a know bug?
Is there a fix for this? (new firmware maybe?)
Just as an aside - the general sound quality on the W880i is very poor ('tinny' compared to K700) considering it's a 'walkman' phone - i'm not sure how Sony dare put the logo on |

Well my W880 wakes me every morning and I sleep like a log. But then again, I use the x-factor theme tune and that get me up... good and proper has done for aaaages. As for tinny sound, I use earphones... |

I since noticed the alarm uses ramping (starts unaudible and gets louder)
Is there anyway of disabling the ramping? (like K700) so i can use it as wake up alarm - Latest firmware?
I'm a bit disappointed in losing a radio, I am more disappointed in loosing a very good flash light
There's no-way i'm keeping my old K700 just because the W880 can't wake me up - i need a phone that can replace it
I'm on the verge of returning it |

Change it for something like the K770i, K810i W810i if you want something that suits your needs.
Latest isn't always greatest.
