i have a 3g phone but there is no 3g signal near me at all so should i turn off 3g in my network settings, will it make my battery last longer??

yes, your batt will last a bit longer then, but it doesnt count that much according my experinces. but if no 3g around u, turn it off

stupid question: (because I never have a 3G phone/provider)

how do you turn off 3G? T-Mobile USA only provides EDGE and it's consuming much of my husband's phone battery...

If you have a SE phone, go into Menu, Settings, Connectivity and then choose mobile networks. In there is should say GSM/3G. You then have the option to work only on GSM or both GSM and 3G

u acn choose in every fone, nokia etc aswell, if u wanna have gsm or umts access

You cant if you but a three network phone. They remove the function to allow you to switch 3g of
