yeah... acoustica is very nice and simple...... but it depends on what phone you will play it.... if you save it to 256 bit rate and you play it on se phones, it's quality is very good, but try to play it on nokia phones... it is like crashed speakers, because nokia phone can't support that high quality of sounds.....

Hi ya. New to the forums and in search of anything useful for my cell phone. Lot of good info on here.

As for "INCREASING" mp3 volume, I don't see how that can be done.

Now, compressing is an alternative, and if you're talking about that, then I recommend Nero 7 Ultra Edition.

It has an encoder in it that keeps the sound quality quite well and reduces the files to about half the size.

I have a W600 can fit plenty of tracks on there.

Cheers.

Hi everyone, just got registred on Esato (but been hanginī out here for a while), Nice Forum!

To increase (or decrease) the volume of your Mp3īs I found this program, called Mp3Gain: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/
It runs thru your mp3 archive and let you to set a choosen level to all of them eiter by track or album.
I have just tried the album gain mode yet, did set the level to 94 db (default is 89 db), and so far so good.
Let us know what you think about it.

Cheers!

Try to set the db as high as possible without the tracks clipping, if the "Y" shows up in the clippinng column on all tracks, bring it down a bit so the most of them are not. I used 94 db and album gain mode(depends if you have your tracks sorted in artist/album/track folders).

For editing Mp3 or even creating your own ringtones Audacity; http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ is a very nice tool. It has a lot more options than just increase volumes or compressing. I use it on Suse10.3, but it's also available for Windows and it's FREE!.

Hey I found that the K750i had a decent level of volume and I would be happy if my new W880i had anywhere near the that volume.
I heard there are restrictions on walkman phones volume level put in place by some EU lobby. If you notice on a walkman phone there is little difference between the preset "normal" on the equaliser and the loudest on manual.

From the K750i point of view it still would be good to make some of my albums louder because some are better quality than others so i hope one of these programs works on my W880i because the volume level is diabolically low.

Mp3Gain is the most simple program to do this job, just don't put the file over 100 db...
