It seems is bent on making impossible-to-open battery compartments! At least this was the case with my S710a, W300i, and K790a.

The solution I've found: Vaseline + Q-Tips.

Take your phone when it's brand new and remove the battery cover (if installed from the factory). Inspect every edge, tab, slot, etc. where the cover contacts the phone body. Now sparingly apply the Vaseline to those areas of contact with the Q-tip. Be very careful not to get any on the charging port, SIM card contacts, battery contacts, etc. Now proceed as usual to install the SIM, battery, and cover. There may be some excess Vaseline oozing out; mop this up with a clean, dry Q-Tip.

This isn't 100%, but it will greatly ease future battery cover removal.

Vaseline is a petroleum jelly, so it's not really a fluid at all - it isn't going to "flow" anywhere. Trust me, it'll stay put and (if used sparingly) won't get on anything else.

What battery bug?

I always find that the battery covers are stiff at first, but open and close more than once and they're overly loose! [addsig]
