Is it just the LCD that's damaged? If so I'll offer £30 for it

When the power button is pressed the red light on the side comes on now.

just the screen, all is seems fine.
don't know why the red light comes on!

So is it not powering up, just a flashing LED?
It could be an Erom problem causing that, but try removing the batt for 10-15 mins and trying the power again.

Sorry, I might have to withdraw my bid, I was hoping it was just a case of a straight LCD replacement but could not be, I'm a bit too strapped for cash to take a risk at the moment.
