I'm in the market for a 5MP phone but not sure which one to go for?the K850 isn't for as it isn't up to scratch and lacks features,so i've decided to either go for the LG Viewty or N95 8GB but have no idea as to which camera is better?

LG Viewty pisses me off to the high heavens with it's unreosponsive touch screen and slow refresh rate when taking pictures. Videos good though.

N95 (8GB) takes the best pictures of those two.

So far i'm leaning 1 point towards the N95 but the viewty's video quality of (120fps) is really attracting me so im still very much undecided?

You do know that it's only usable for slow-motion video clips, right?

Regular video is being recorded at a maximum of VGA resolution at 30 frames per second. This whole "120 fps recording" isn't really that great. You'll end up with videos in QVGA resolutions at 30 fps where everything is four times slower than real life.

Well, you'd be able to get your answer if there was a need for 120 fps video (for other purposes than slow-motion, that is).

Thats very disappointing to say the least,oh well thats another positive for the N95.
Now for the next question,How does the Viewty's Schneider-Kreuznach lens compare with the N95's Carl Zeiss one?

Those are just names and has absolutely no influence on the outcome of the pictures.

OK, just to clarify things a bit. The human eye can differentiate the frames up to 24-30 fps, so 30 fps is just right for normal video quality.
Now, the Viewty can record VGA video at 30fps. or QVGA at 120fps. (but you'll get the same file size as the former because you record the same amount of data, but faster - in a smaller picture). The special thing about 120fps. video is that you'd be able to slow down the video 4 times (with a video editing program)without losing motion quality.
That's all. |

Also, the Viewty automaticlly slows the 120FPS video down to 30FPS making it slow motion.
