My friends :
I have very basic question. But I could not get any answer so far .
Which telephone has the maximum sms capacity either on Telephone memory or additional memory card ?

I have Nokia N70. Its capacity 999. All the new Nokia N series phones have same capacity. 999. Does not matter telephone memory or additional memory card.

Thanks in advance .

SE K850 you can store on memory card. Put a 4 gig card in there and I would expect 100s of thousands of messages... as long as the phone could load an inbox that large. I do recall my Nokia 7610 holdong 2500 sms but it started running rather slow after that. Surely more current phones could handle more?

Hi JiSm,

Thanks for the quick response.

In fact, what affects the sms limit ?
Is it directly related to operating system ?
Do you have any idea ?

Pretty much guaranteed its an OS limitation. My GF has a Prada (spew) and it only holds 300. Typically if your phone lets you change the storage destination, it should let you handle more. This isnt always the case tho as I have seen a Nokia 6300 with 2500 in inbox and 1900 in sent items and it ran like crap. Id say that storing that many messages will have its cons thats for sure.
