Picture it. New Year's Eve. I have my MMS messages all ready to go. Suddenly my phone dies. When it wakes up, all messages have gone. All text message settings have gone. All emails have gone. All contacts have gone and when you try to open them all you get is "Opening contacts" and it hangs. I was 200 miles away from home. Thankfully I could still make calls.
Then, today, coming home, my phone dies again. This time, it dies for good. It won't start, not even partially. All it will do is flash, and constantly reboot itself.
OK - the phone is less than a month old and I can take it back. But, I'm really surprised at this half-baked release from SE.
- A stupid touch screen which in which you can accidentally turn speaker phone on when you pull the phone out of your pocket to answer it
- Painfully slow file updating, especially when deleting Vodcasts
- Stupid "glass-over-shutter" on the camera, ready for constant smearing and scratching. Whose bright idea was that?
- Painful-to-use navigation buttons and stumpy keypad buttons. Plain stupid. The W810 was the best for easy to use and comfortable buttons.
I'm not impressed. This one has obviously been rushed out. Not at all what I'd expect from Sony Ericsson. |
