Firstly, why cant you turn off sounds of when someone sends a message on MSN? Secondly, does it use up a lot of bandwidth to make calls through Fring?

The Fring FAQ says
It depends on the length of call but fifteen minutes of live talk time will typically use 2 MB.
About the sound, I believe I could turn it off on P990.
