Silly question, but how do you tell if edge is enabled on k800i. my data bar has 2 colors light blue and dark blue.... but thats all i can see.

no edge on K800. K800 is 3G, K790 is EDGE.
Maybe you mean gprs?

i did think i read somewhere that it did have edge, well that really blows.
N82 or N95 here i come lol

yeah , you need K790 to run EDGE. Same phone, but designed for EDGE networks.
