White Screen on T630 |

I've got an old Sony Ericsson T630 that I put in the washing machine by mistake. I took it apart and left it in the airing cupboard for a few weeks and now it starts up. Problem is - it has a white screen. I can hear all the sounds I expect to - just nothing on the screen except white.
Does anyone know how to reset this phone via a key sequence (bearing in mind I can't see the screen)
Is there something I can upload to it to reset the firmware?
Any help would be appreciated.... |

The phone was free (hand me down from a friend) so there's no point spending money on fixing it - I could just get another old phone that someone's chucking away instead. I want to fix this one myself as there's probably some knowledge/experience to be gained in fixing it. I've already ordered the parts to make a serial cable for it as I was sure I'd be able to flash the firmware to it. |

I washed it around a month ago, took it apart after I took it out of the washing machine and left it in the airing cupboard for the last month then stuck it back together 2 days ago when I had a bit of spare time.
I'm thinking if I can't flash the firmware I could maybe replace the screen (from a broken one off eBay). I'm dying to fix it though (as long as the cost is low and it's interesting to fix) as I love the phone - it has such a good feel to it. |

huh, 1 month ago... maybe a sonic bath can help, but really not sure. visit a mobile shop and ask them, if they have it or not. i wouldnt buy any aparts yet, cos u dont really know, whats up and that can be only waste of money imo. but of course its up to u

I just missed one going for spares on eBay for £10, while I was procrastinating. Darn!
I'll keep an eye out for a broken one - then I can swap bits and see which bit fixes it, so I know which part I need |
