No I don't want to revive it, i'm not bothered about doing that!
I wanted to, but I got a new phone for xmas so i'll now just sell the dead k800i to a phone shop on the high street rather than pay £50+ to get it fixed. And it's completely dead, I mean, no IR flashes or anything.
What I want to know is, is there a reset button that will delete everything from the phone as I have numbers, pictures etc... on it that I don't want to be resurrected when/if the phone shop brings it back to life.

Don't get offended by the question...did you ever try an other battery?
There isn't anything you can reset unless you can turn the phone on...if they replace a defective component on the main board (assuming it's a main board failure) depending on what component was defective your information might or might not be revived. But IMO whoever will try to fix it, will just put a new board in there, as troubleshooting components would take a lot more time, let alone find a replacement and replace it. | |
