hi there, first tme here. i usually just read through the posts cos they contain all the info i need but this time around im stumped. i dropped my k850i yesterday. the body looks fine. no scratches no broken bits cos it was still in its pouch. however i just noticed today the the pgone cant deem to be able to play any songs. at first it just wouldnt play anything. after leaving it alone for a few hours, i tried again and it was able to play a song intermittently. the song would play a few secs and then go off then come on again. from what ive heard the speaker sounds fine. maybe its some processor or something inside. any ideas anyone? thanks in advance. i'm gonna send it in soon but seeing as its the new year soon, no idea when the local se service centre will be open

Try to reinstall the card. I doub't it is a processor since the phone is working. Anyway, cannot think of something else, best luck..

i just got saved a trip to the service centre. my girlfriend switched memory cards with me to check if the memory card was the problem. apparently it was and now everything works fine even though i did not format my own card.

Hi All,

I've also got the same problem with my SE K850i. The phone bounced off my bed yesterday and now the loud speaker does not work. Therefore I cannot hear text messages or the phone ringing because it doesn't make a sound at all. I live in the UK. Has anyone had experience with SE repairs in the UK? Should I send it off to SE? Or should I try and get a replacement phone from my operator o2? Will o2 give me a brand new K850i or will I end up with someone else's "fixed" unit?

Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks,

Norm
