Getting a bit confused with the law on motorbikes right now.

Assume you are under 21, with a full UK drivers license. You then do a motorbike CBT. What kind of motorbikes can you ride?

I think with the CBT you can ride bikes up to 125cc but you'd need to do your full bike test to ride anything above that

Until you do your Bike test, over 17's can ride any thing up to 125cc with L-plates, you can then continue like this for upto 2 years when the CBT expires. You can keep retaking your CBT and not do your test if you are satified by the performance of a 125cc or take your test and go for something bigger.
