I started this topic to see ,in the first place, which are the phones from SE powered by NVIDIA. In the photo above, taken from the NVIDIA promo video, you can see W900, for which I, honestly, am not sure if it is. Korean Samsung in the pic, also Motorola RAZR have those chips.

And second, what are your opinions, how many of you would like to have powerful (gaming, maybe?) SE phone loaded with NVIDIA and with its logo on it

I know it's a bit childlish, but I would...

P.S. Admins, feel free to put this thread in the garbage section...

Yep. The W900 and Motorola V3x both had the nVidia GeForce 4800 chip and from what i remember both didn't do so well with it. I remember my W900 being slow at animations and even some games.

As far as I remember P990i and W950i also should have nVidia chips

Nope, W900 is the only phone with an nVidia chip. All the UIQ 3 smart phones make use of OpenGL Es supporting hardware graphics chips from Imagination Technologies (PowerVR MBXLite).

More about that here:

By the way, you can find a total list of devices making use of nVidia chips here

Judging by this, ATI has more penetration on mobile phones than Nvidia, Since all Imageon Chips are actually CPUs with DSP, Video and many more(in other words applications processor) and most motorolas ranging from SLVRs, RAZRs, were Imageon Powered. while in fact Nvidia just recently started developing applications processor on GoForce 6100 which is very new atm.

Only V3x/V6 are the razrs powered by Nvidia, the rest of the RAZRs were Imaegon powered

You're right with the fact that W900 is the only Nvidia powered SE Phone.

Putting an Nvidia logo on SE will ruin it's design although it's actually nice to see that chip integrated on SE once more but given the fact that Nvidia Chips before 6100 are not applications processor instead a separate video/audio engine i prefer ATi Imaegeon integrated on SE the latter has more advanced System architecture(first mobilephone chip manufacturer to develop a 65nm process with the help of AMD) as well as the edge in graphics performance.

Another reason at stake is that ATI Imageon Processors has a native binary compatibility with Symbian APIs in contrast to Nvidia. so SE can use Imageon chips on their future mid/high-end UIQ phones instead of a TI-Omap/Nexperia one

^^ In fact ATI has sold more chips than Nvidia as i said ATI chips are usually found on motorola RAZR, SLVRs and E398, Samsungs, LG Prada and etc. but those ATi CHips were old already, suddenly i haven't seen any review site(including M-R and GSMArena) discussing about that chip being integrated on those phones, no wonder why people barely know that they're holding an ATi powered phone, then perhaps ATi should put a sticker "Graphics by ATi" just like in PC so people could know

I hope the next SE UIQs will be powered by the top of the line ATI/AMD Imageon 2298 CPUs as well as a separate dedicated GPU; imageon 2300
