Can anyone spare a thought as to what is going on with my 1-year old SE K800i?
I have removed a battery without shutting it down first. OK, I know I shouldn’t , but that shouldn’t kill it. I had to get to my SIM card quick.
After reinserting the SIM, it just wouldn’t start again. What is happening, when you press power-on button, there are 6-7 quick blinks of red light coming from the IR window. Same goes on when I plug the power plug. It was working absolutely perfect before the removal of SIM card.
Has anyone seen or heard of it before?
Should I consider repair or is there maybe some reset before the booting?

Thank you

If you got WSOD (white screen of death)

1. Download wotanclient

2. Clear the login settings

3. When you are connecting your phone press and hold 2+5

4. It will now upgrade your EROM

5. Finished

Thanks for quick reply.
No, the screen stays dark all the time.
The only light seems to come from IR window. 6-7 quick bursts
I am not sure what the white screen is, but I suppose just with the screen light on. In my case it stays dark.

I have never heard of this kind of failure!!

it's prob an erom failure, try leaving batt out for 15 mins and try again. If this doesn't work try the erom update as previously outlined.

What did you do, just leave the batt out for a little while?

Glad it's worked for you, always gives me a nice warm feeling when we help someone sort their phone out and get it working again!

Why using wotan... it costs... You can flash the phone Erom and firmware using XS++ for free
