Resently, my dad got a K750, I too had a K750 before. My one was made in 2006, and dads one is made in 2007. Here are the difference :

My : Keypad backlight is white-colored green
Dads : Keypad backlight is white-colored purple

My : Keypad backlight fades out towards the display
Dads : Just turns off

My : Display is Brighter and has a little more red on the colors
Dads : Display is Bright but high contrast more white colored

My : Display gets vertical lines on the slowest movement
Dads : Hard to see the lines but they are somewhat visible

My : Camera is less yellow colored but look less clear
Dads : Pictures are much yellow colored but pictures look clear

The only hardware difference I can see is that my EROM is R2B001, and my dads EROM is R3A001. And both phones have the "Operation Failed" bug when too many apps are installed on external memory (tested it)

Erom is the boot Bios of the phone which has nothing to do with any of the above.

What you need to look at is the software revison.

Your dads will have the latest revison software as he has the new erom. Also there was a slight colour change in keypads on the K750.

Have you ever updated the software on your phone using the SEUS?

The 4 x zoom on the largest picture setting should be nobbled on your dads K750 as well.
