no upgrade will be available in the beginning for P800... it's part of the IFRA (Initial Field Return Analysis) for the unit...

there is firmware available... but the servicepoints aren't allowed to upgrade the phones since they should be sent to for analysis...
this is at least how have decided to act here in Scandinavia... but I doubt it will be any different in the rest of Europe.

Yes, I also have upgraded here in Switzerland. Every (!) Service Point or Flash Point of SE which has a connection to the EMMA II Upgrade System can Upgrade your P800. Every! The downoad of the SW Parts will be (by ISDN) approx. 1 hour and the flash again approx. 1 hour.

The Flash Point need a sim card (id card) and the sim card reader, a hardware-dongle and a serial cable, and of course a EMMA Account. Thats all ..... and then the point can flash all SE and Ericsson units.

>>webwatcher: are you programming a remote control for tv, dvd and stereo for P800? That is so cool! Do you think that P800's Irda port is emitting strongly enough for that purpose? How close will I have to sit next to the tv or stereo? I am just curious. Thank you beforehand for your answer.
