Should i take my resetting twice a day k800i back to the carphone warehouse? The phone is only a few days old and has the latest software update. Ive heard the CPWH will only give me the same model as a replacement and all k800s have the same reset issue so i might be better off selling it and buying a decent phone from a more reliable manufacturer? should i really wait to see if sony update and correct the problem or is the k800 past its prime? Thanks for any info. Might b better off buying a nokia... :'( |

All K800's? Never had this problem. K800 has proven very reliable to me. So just get it replaced.

Had it for 1 year. Never had a problem since day 1. Only had 1 crash the other day. |

:-S :-S :-S.....but ANY crash is not the sign of a very healthy phone! Especially given for what u pay- i have never had a crash with any non SE model before.. once is more than enough. Of course, it depends what you mean exactly by "crash".. If it was a quick white screen reset, then i would back everything on your phone up now and cross those fingers it doesnt happen again. Not everyone may have a k800i that has randomly reset or crashed, but from the forums its obvious it is a very common issue |

My old K800i was simply very reliable. Don't worry. Just get another one. |

It happen after I did something with XS++. It is something average user won't do. But it has run flawlessly after that. Hm you mean to say your computer never crash, especially if you use windoze?
You expect too much, phone also humane (only Indo ppl will understand this joke).

Haha- even windows xp is more reliable than a k800i ! If xp reset itself twice a day i would be a die hard apple user by now B-) i will prob get a replacement phone-but not a k800i .. will c what else is in stock... Whats the next phone up from k800i? K810...? Prob twice the price.. or a nokia! lol thanks for the info though. Would try the flash update for built in software from that site to see if it would sort the resetting, but dont want to kill the phone :-SB-) |

Well, I think if you just bougth it then insist on replacing it under warranty. It may be hardware problem, etc. My point is K800 quite a though phone and unless you are still on old EROM R3A011 it is pretty stable.
And it is hard to kill K800 when you flash it unless you really mess it up like uploading other model (like K750) GDFS, etc. |
