@J273

I don't believe such a thing exists they are only sold locked and then unlocked, except for maybe the Orange France ones or the T-Mobile ones in Germany but even then i think they are unlocked rather than not locked in the first place. I would also imagine finding one that can still be unlocked must be getting difficult by now as the newer ones have an improved base band that makes it impossible to crack and hack.

Seen those ads but there not Sim Free as such just unlocked if you read the full details, Sim Free is just a way of describing them so that it will convey they take any Sim.

yep all iphones that are for the UK marlet are locked to o2

you can get them from the states bt most of wich are now 1.1.2 and have not been cracked yet also there will be firmware 1.1.3 out in the next week or so

your best bet would be to get a US 1.1.2 you can get them for around £250 if you look in the right place and eather use turbosim or stelthsim for now untill they crack 1.1.2 wich should be anyday now

and yes £250 is the right price as i thats how i got mine if you buy more then 10 u can get them for around £230

Ahhh ok thanks....i thought they where total sim free.

Ive got an iphone at the minute (US) which is great but the upgrading/unlocking is a bit of a pain.

which is why id prefer a total sim free handset so i could update when i like with out the need of waiting for an unlock to become availale which is becoming more tricky with the newer baseband

I somehow doubt that and by then there should be a 3G or even 3G/HSDPA iPhone2 by then.

TurboSim your phone. I did and it now uses my own DNA card. Screw AT&T.
