Assalamaolykum brother.

Eid Mubarak to everyone

More info on what Eid is:

Eid al-Adha is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims and Druze worldwide as a commemoration of Ibrahim's (Abraham's) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael for Almighty Allah. It is one of two Eid festivals that Muslims celebrate. Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon (khutba). It is also called the bigger Eid because it lasts a day longer than Eid ul-Fitr.

Eid al-Adha is four days long and starts on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja of the lunar Islamic calendar. This is the day after the pilgrims in Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.

Two sisters at work celebrate this, and the general easy way of putting it, is it's kinda their version of Christmas? I don't really know a huge ammount about it, but I have to say, working with them for almost a year now has really opened my eyes about the religion and perceptions of it
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.

@Daed, I guess it could be considered the equivelant of Christmas, except we have two a year and usually the younger people get given cash instead of gifts.

I just had my Valentino Thobe tailored, and I'm excited to wear it.

We usually where our best or new clothes on the day and celebrate it with family and a huge feast.

Usually Children will kind of Carol outside singing songs for the neighbours.
