I have an N95, it currently says the memory is full, yet I have nothing stored on it.. when I review the memory screen its saying that 147mb is being used on the phone and that I have 0mb of free memory,
i have checked there are no apps running
i have nothing using space up, ie videos pics, messages etc,
i have tried taking some applications off
i think this may be a know error
any ideas appart from a reset,
and if i need to rest what exactly will be lost,
maps etc ??

help please !!

I don't have an answer for you.... but perhaps try Dogmann (either PM or see his review thread re the N95) - he seems to be very knowledgeable about these phones.

Not too sure,maybe try clearing the Cache of the Web Browsers even though i kind of doubt someone could fill the cache up by that much. What was the last app you installd? That might be whats causing this.

@atkinsonw

Although i have never experienced this myself do you do any Web browsing and if so have you ever cleared the cache, cookies, or history and if not this could be the cause.

But go to the Web browser options Clear Privacy data if you select all it will clear everything including your login and passwords that are saved otherwise just select them and click to delete what has been stored and see if that resolves the issue or not. Let us know and then if needed we can look at other options.

Make sure you Back Up all your important info and make sure your phone is FULLY CHARGED, and type in *#7370# when the phone is On, i made a mistake in my last post. That is the Soft-Key Format.

Did you get the phone new? AFAIK the Default Lock code for Nokias is 12345 or just 1234.

just tried on my N80 and on my friends N73 and the Lock Code is 12345.

Yep i suggest doing what Lostprophet said. Im out of ideas and i doubt the Hard-key format will help either.
