Help! I just dropped my Sony T650i and I'm totally bummed! I had it for a good 3 months before dropping it. I'm thinking about purchasing a DUMMY T650i and using that as a housing, does anyone know if this will work?? Is there a place I can get just the green version housing?

Don't quote me, but I doubt it. I was told a few years ago by my local Vodafone shop that a company here in NZ (not where cellphones are made) makes them and charges a high price for them. If thats the truth - that another company makes them, then its unlikely the casing will be the same on the inside.

However, they might use proper cases to make them, but just add a fake screen, etc. I dunno.

So I guess I didn't help... Well this is a free 'bump' anyway.

Try www.cnn.cn

I don't know about the availability of T650 housings, but it's probably your best bet.

Keep in mind, even though they call the products they sell "OEM" they're actually not genuine products, only well done looking knock offs. Not sure about ALL of the stuff that they sell, but the parts for my W810 that I received aren't the same as what they're replacing exactly... That said, generally the difference to the original is minimal, and finding genuine parts would be rather difficult for the average person.

Ebay may be another option, though the quality of parts might not be assured...

@dinky:

i don't think that would be wise (if ever its possible).

the almost real quality of dummies are limited to the outside. its really all about the external cosmetics, the internals are nothing but (sorry for the pun ) "air" or some other stuff. besides, standard screw holes or snap-on parts would be absent.

try cnn.cn or look at e-bay, mate!

cheers and goodluck
