Okay, trust me, I've searched all over and tried a billion things, this post is my last ditch effort to get my s500i working properly.
So heres the story. I have this s500i that looks like its been refurbed or something (The IMEI tag is missing) but I got it for a steal. Anyways, It is almost completely working, it makes calls, it takes pictures, the bluetooth works, etc. etc. But it has a sort of outdated firmware and I'd like to be able to sync it with my PC.
The problem I am having is the USB connectivity. I have a DCU-65 cable as well as a DCU-60 and it does the same thing with both. When I plug it into ANY computer, it brings up the menu to let me go into file transfer mode and it even starts to charge, but the computer does absolutely nothing. It doesn't bring up the phone card, doesn't bring up the new device installer, just acts like all is right with the world.
I've done a master reset on the headset, I've taken out the sim card, etc. etc. I've installed PC suite without a firewall and connected the phone with the firewall off and still the same result. So I am out of ideas and I need help because I really do like the phone!!!
