I just noticed that the Jock's have their own section, i consider myself to be English rather than British, so perhaps a thread for us English might be in order!!

Cup of Tea sir?

There is one thing I would like to do - probably next year - and thats visit the Great English Castles of Northern England; Northumberland, Lancashire and Cumria. Amazing relics of the past and well worth a visit IMO.

What an absolutely spiffing idea! I always put my nationality as 'English' rather than British, it's about time that we tried to restore a bit of pride in our country.

Pull up a chair, I'll show you my ASBO and we can all pick on the Welsh.

Indeed, other nations in the United Kingdom are proud of their nationality, it's about time the English were too!

And after Cyco's shown us his ASBO, we'll sit around and talk about the weather, and how we're completely rubbish and never win anything at sports that we invented

That depends. We operate a points system for skilled migrant forum posters. Or you could jump in the back of a lorry in the forum for Russian users when nobody is looking...

And of course Our dear Scottish pals gifted us the game of Golf also , though i'm not sure that's something we ought to be thankful about.
Let's face it gentlemen, no nation loses quite as gracefully (or indeed as often) as us English

Brrrrrr! Isn't it cold? It's cold enough to snow, I reckon. You know I can't remember it being this cold since the last time it was really cold. And it's not just cold is it? It's bitter. And that wind goes right through you which makes it feel colder I reckon...

What, Yorkshire Tea , make's you laugh that, WTF has Yorkshire got to do with it.
Great English institution though, ripped from the old colonial days.

Yeah. Have you ever been to one of their teashops? People queue outside them for hours, they're that popular, and then moan when they get in because they're charged £15 for a cup of ordinary yorkshire tea and a stale Eccles cake. Then they go back again next week...

Madness!
