just woek up to the message 'Serious error, stop charging and contact Sony Ericsson'.

the phone restarted and now seems fine, do you guys think i should still phone them, or see if the message reappears at a later date?

Might have just been a one off, but keep a close eye on your phone, maybe charge it when you're around and awake so you can see if and when the message re-occurs.

Try updating the firmware too as a precaution.

Did the phone feel particularly warm at all? I wonder if it was a temperature sensor kicking in. It may have detected (or thought it detected) the battery getting too warm for a normal charge, which could mean a faulty battery. OTOH it might just have been a bug.

no the phone didnt feel hot atall. i took it off charge, it restarted and said i had no battery life left, then i put it on the charging dock again, and after like 2 minutes it said it was fully charged.

so maybe somehow it had crashed while charging? i don't know. i will see if it happens again.

I've never heard of this one before until last week when a mate said his K800 did it! He took it off charge, took the battery out for a minute, put it back in and nothing heard since!
