P1 new firmware update should include a search option of all contact's fields, like P990 do! please SE, do it!
i miss this little option so bad....

Or easy search... allows you to search all fields/items in calendar, contacts, etc... Nice n easy app, works like a charm. |

Just getting the P1 and the main problem with Searching contacts is you can only search by the first name...so my question is
1. Which one of these two programs is better for the money? Easy Search seems like a simple enough program.
2. Does either programs let you search through contacts by first name, last name, and company as well? By this I mean you just key in the first letters and the phone will search through all 3 fields, like on Blackberries.

Try Easy Search. It's the best search for UIQ 3

tkao, easysearch might be a better option, because you can search everything besides contacts (docs, emails, etc) |

i know it isn't the same as being able to search all fields but it is possible to sort your contacts by last name if that is better for you. just change the settings in the contacts menu (you have to scroll down) |

Thanks for the reply guys...Yeah I think I'm going to try easy search. By the way Mobman..wouldn't putting last name first just end up searching by last name instead of first? |

I do! it is the feature that I miss most from my P990, IMHO the P1 is incomplete without it (I have about 800 contacts)
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

well, as SE doesn't give us (P1 owners) a search option, i finally bought easy search and it is really an alternative to the inability of SonyEricsson! |
