Just curious as to what people really think. If the k850 worked just as its suppose to; no firmware issues, build issues, blah blah blah.. Is the design and its capabilities a hit or miss? Reasons.....

A hit, for sure, IF all the nagging problems weren't there.
There is so much to like about the funky keypad layout, the touch points, and the sleek lens cover and super cool blue lights; anyone notice the camera len's ring glows blue for a moment when the shutter opens? COOL!

By the time they fix the problems, i guess phones that outdo k850 in every specs have flooded the market already.

Well we know customer service thus far is a miss. Again, back to topic if the phone did as it should is it a good phone?

My k850i works perfectly without any issues so I dont understand what others keep nagging about. If it has a problem get it changed. |

It's a HIT ! Yes some review sites are Nokia Based and NOKIA fanboys are posting lots of spam to downgrade it's value.

I was dissapointed with it, replaced it with a N82.
The build quality was not up to skratch, and far too many bugs for my liking i`m afraid. |

I love the touch screen. No problem with software. But the keypad is a disaster. I do a LOT of texting and its so slow trying to get your thumb nail on those tiny keys. Iv just been upgraded from a k800i. much easier to text. I just looked at an N81 and it feels so much easier, including the navigation pad.
And I have had nothing in the past but Sony, Ericsson, and SE. |

I like the phone, but I just wish SE would get a move on with the software. It's clearly not a big issue for them...
The build quality is poor (hopefully that's been sorted on the later builds). I'm going to take mine to a service centre soon and hopefully have the entire creaky case replaced!
