Hi JoJo
Are these available where you are as haven't seen any in Europe yet but then i don't think there are any services it can use yet over here. I assume where you are there are broadcasts in the right format then. The screen looks really nice if you get you will have to do a review.
Marc

i think that's a good phone. i've read it's got a recording function. but i don't think the reception here is still on the infancy stage. plus there's only eleven channels. too impractical paying ten dollars a month for that imo. in other words. the phone is good but the service is not.

@jem - REALLY You are talking to: SMART's connection here right
You've got a POINT there about the $$$ of watchin' TV-shows in it (N92): US$ 10/month . . . whereas with the Cable company I am with now, I PAY the same $$$$ though viewing about 50 + channels . . . FTV included
I'll just keep this thread rolling . . .

^^ I actually like this phone the size perfectly fit's it's purpose: TV/PC phone. and it looks cool as well. someone told me that Smart TV in our country costs alot of "load" as we call it here but given this sky-high price to pay for a TV just keep your P990 at least since you love taking quality pics P990 trashes N92 in that aspect, and i find N92's camera position when held ridiculous

@razor - Yeah . . . you've GOT a POINT (of NO return . .) back there pal . . . but the THING is . . . I can't WATCH TV in my P990i I'm fed-up with those Campus Scandal vids . . .
I want to watch Marimar (Marian Rivera ) while I'm plowing the rice-field !

^^ I think you can watch TV on P990 using the smart 3G live mobile TV streaming. it uses the 3G connection to be able to stream live videos either TV patrol, 24 oras or whatsoever. or perhaps you could use the location TV module from Sony to stream TV via WiFi from the module to your P990 phone

@raze - YES, I've DONE that before, works FINE . . . but the P990i can ONLY just DO that, unlike with the N92 etc . . . it really works like a TV Your second suggestion LOOKS so tiring to accomplish . . . will try to KNOW how that works though . . . thanks !

same is the case with N92, nice big screen, and it all goes down hill after that. |

not sure if this turn around solutions for the screen is a good thing or not, i aws always afraid, that the cables would be buggy after a while...
