heard recently that sony ericsson have made deal with some game devoloping studio to provide accelometer related games...
will have to see how this turns out..
but with only one game and no app (except plane finder - waste app really ) is making me think that aceelometer is a waste feature..

Hi,
I have written a flash lite game ("breakout" clone for the k850, w910 etc.) that can make use of the accelerometer. Nothing fancy yet, but keep coming back as I will be adding content as I get time to play ...
You can get it at http://www.homesoft.99k.org/FlashLite.html
To play:
- Download to your pc (.zip)
- Unzip the .swf file and upload to your phone (I use MyPhoneExplorer)
- Browse to the "Pictures" folder using your file manager
- Select the file and enjoy!
There are also one or two flash lite files that can be used as background images for your phone
To use:
- Save to your pc
- Unzip the .swf file and upload to your phone (I use MyPhoneExplorer)
- Select Menu, Settings, Display, Wallpaper
- Select flash file, normally saved in your "pictures" folder on your phone
- Enjoy
Let me know what you think

Open your theme creator, browse to the folder that the SWF file is, and then type in manually the file name, including the extension, as it won't appear, since the theme creator is only looking for image files, not Flash files.
Finally, after you attach it, you won't be able to preview the Flash file integrated to the theme until you send it to your phone.

Check out LCARS website. He made a few updates recently and has some very cool swfs for K850. I would seriously recommend you to try out 'Modern Equaliser' and the rotating clock is also very cool...

One day I was bored and created a small flash background for my k850 that uses the accelerometer. Thought I might as well share it..
It's a cow standing by a tree that you can throw around on the screen by shaking or tilting. Also depending on the time of the day the sky color changes accordingly, eg it's dark at night (also means the cow goes to sleep).
Get it at: http://rapidshare.com/files/123994050/kossa.swf.html
(It would've been nice to have song title info and such, but I haven't found out how to do it... Does anybody want to share this info?) |

The point is that you use accelerometer data which is explained in first post of this topic. This is the finished script:
onEnterFrame = function () {
displayDevice = substring(eval("/:$version"), 0, 2) == "FL" ? "phone" : "pc";
if (displayDevice == "phone") {
loadVariables("accelerometer://data", _root);
var angle = Math.round(Math.atan2(_root.accX, _root.accY)*10000)/10000;
rotAngle = angle*57.29577;
var dr = rotAngle-rotatedMc._rotation;
if (Math.abs(dr)>180) {
dr = dr>0 ? dr-360 : 360+dr;
}
rotatedMc._rotation += dr/5;
} else {
var angle = Math.atan2((_root._xmouse-120), (_root._ymouse-160));
rotatedMc._rotation = angle*-57.29577;
}
};
This will rotate a movie clip with instance name rotatedMc as you tilt your phone.
