So i'm getting a K850i tomorrow to replace my K800i (which replaced my k750i, which replaced my k700i, which replaced my t200 lol). What can the K850i do that the K800i?
I'm askin so i can go straight into playing with anything new the phone has to offer.
Also i feel a bit bad i chose to upgrade to the LG Viewty instead of the k850i. I soon learnt my lesson, sent back the Viewty and asked for the k850i lol. |

It can take better pictures and better video.
Checkout my photos at My Website"Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together." |

ten times better sound, ( mediaplayer 3.0 + Megabass)
turbo 3g
better camera:
takes much better indoor/low light pictures
manual ISO-settings
better flash, (because of the light sensor)
LED lamp for video-recording, or use it like a torch.
bigger, brighter screen..(best screen i ever seen/use)
Pod casting
better battery.....k800=8h...k850=9h talktime
much better video recording,(30 fps.mpeg4)
good luck

oooh glad to hear that they've put the LED lamp back in...the k750i had one but the k800i didnt...used to find it useful as a torch. is it the same white style lamp as the k750i?

no..its much better...it works like AF light + torch light for video recording..(and ordinary torch if you want. SOS, etc)
here you can see the LED in action

(to see in original size..press the button beside the volume..gets little better quality then)

A negative is inferior build quality, but hopefully these will have been sorted by now. It's a brilliant phone.

@deepy
The K850i does so much more than the K810i, you'll be glad of the upgrade. It is a bit of a fingerprint magnet so you might be wise to invest in a Krusell case to help keep it nice and fresh looking.
The Accelerometer is impressive and you'll appreciated the improved video recording too.
As the previous poster stated, (albeit in an unhelpful way), be careful of dusty areas, one of the reasons I purchased a case.
Enjoy!

ok well i got my k850i and the camera flash does the out of sync thing. i read that the firmware ugprade to R1CA037 fixes that. so i tried to update it via SEUS. SEUS said it was already updated. so i checked the firmware on the phone and it was already R1CA037. But the camera flash is still out of sync! arghh!! is this still happening on this firmware?
i'm on o2 uk btw. |
