Just a question (since the manual doesnt answer it )
On the K810i, whats the sms limit until it breaks into 2??
Such as.. umm, the Moto-rzr for example, after 450 characters, breaks the SMS into two parts. Any idea whats the K810i limits? (it doesnt display it when writing a text message).
Thanks! |

SMS has a limit of 160 characters per text when writing in English. Writing in foreign language may require less than 160 characters per message.
This is a GSM standard and has nothing to do with individual phones so I am unclear how you think Motorola can do 450 characters per text as GSM simply does not provide this capacity

Hmm, you may be right.. It did look something like this: 450 / 1.
Maybe the / 1 changes to a / 2 once the 160 characters limit is reached. Does the K850i display the character limit, by the way? (just curious, I already own a K810i )
Oh well, just wanted to know, many thanks for the reply |

SE phones tend to countdown as you get close to the "per message" (160 characters) limit and have a popup message informing you of the message number you are on so you are aware of when you are going to incurr extra cost for multiple sms
on yor K810, simply type a load of random text to see what I am talking about. you don't have to actually send the message to test this

Oh, thanks Masseur!
Exactly the reply I was looking for
I hope all my S.E inquiries aren't annoying.. this is my first S.E phone, and the manual really isn't all that helpful/detailed |
