k550i or w810? which is better? help! |

i am purchasing a new phone monday, and can not decide between the k550 or w810 for my life!!!! i have a w800 to play with borrowed from a friend but cant stand the joystick! and the camd oesnt work so ic ant see the quality of it.... i like the feel and size of the w800 but wouldnt mind something a bit smaller .... but not too small like the MOTO SLVR....(too thin) i want a good camera with decent ringtone loudness... i prefer loud ...... please help!! it will be highly appreciated!
i do love the light color on the k550 the blue button light up........ ahhh i do not know what to do since i can not play with the phones b4 i buy them!@! so pls shed some light on to which is better ............... please! thanks =) i need to have a decision by monday! |

hi and welcome
you can have the k550. then you flash it to w610 and you will have a walkman phone with flash themes and a nice camera. plus you can change the acoustic and get a higher volume in case you find it lower

and a2dp. this is a big plus. but we all know that w810 camera is way better that the k550's.

i have seen stuff about flashing but alot of people say its too risky? i am new to SE's..... never cared for them but after playign with the w800 i fell in love! the k550 is a beauty! i am about to have my baby boy in about 7 days so i will need a camera for all of his first moments! but i make my own ringtones but cutting the part i want so i do customize my cell to the max with themes....rings for different things... can the alarm and text be a tone i upload? ALSO can you make mp4's ringtones??? thanks for all your help guys/girls!!!!!! this is the 1st place i have recieved any! |

oh the cam is better? but i mean is the k550 a decent cam? i seen sample photos on here in a forum and they were pretty good.... it has flash??? |

yes, you can set a mp3 as alarm/ringtone. alarm only sounds 1 minute, then sounds again in 9 mins. congrats for your baby.

yeah it is a decent cam. and yes, it has a flash.

oh ok...does the light work well? i mean i dnt need a 10mp quality camera lol.... just something decent adn im reallly concerned with the ringtones... how do i flash it t walkman? im going to need it to lose this baby fat when i work out!

@ babi - Because that's ONE of the FONES (  ) that I still did NOT have to this very day  and I know it's GOOD comparable with that of the K750i  . . . you can BUY an optional accessory : mxe-60 xenon flash for NIGHT-time use . . . I'm sure that it WILL produce nice pics, as I've tried that xenon flash with my K750i before !

hahah yea but the way its looking i can probably order the phone...flash and play with it til he comes!!! he is late in progress haha

i need/want a durable phone with a sturdy feel, cute looks, customizable, and loud ringtones clear too not like the BB pearl.... it was horrible quality and volume !! and a decent camera with extras like frames...effects...moods.... an such ss0o0o0o0o which is better>??? i am so confused again lol

the K550i is newer than the "classic" W810i.
other than the thinner (14.5 v. 19.5) profile and the A2DP feature, it shares the same in every aspect with the W810i. of course, the Walkman feature of the W810i can be "flashed" to the K550i.
personally speaking, i find the camera capabilities of the w810i a lot better than the K550i.
it actually depends on what you are basically looking for, or what your needs are. you should decide on that first and take off from there. the rest will follow.
based on my own experience with my W810i and from some "borrowings" and "trials" from friends who have the K550i, i would prefer the W810i. its quite a no-brainer for me considering my personal needs in a phone... i'm a music-loving person (Walkman) and the superb camera is just the icing on the cake. i'm not much into the A2DP unless i could afford a decent BT-enabled headsets (which of course, based on my personal "ear" taste, would be the higher-ends )... anyway, these are just personal opinions. just wanted you to hear from a W810i user.
