So after having numerous sony ericssons i have never used the e mail function. Mainly cus i used hotmail and never wanted to change. But hey times are changing and i would like to use it now. So can someone give me a step by step guide on how to do it. . . What e mail company to use etc like google yahoo etc. I just really dont have a clue on this one so any help is really appreciated. Thanks |

What you could do is sign up for a GoogleMail account and then use the Sony Ericsson e-mail configurator to set it up for you:

After you have signed up you use that page to choose your provider, country, e-mail provider then input your details and it will send them as a text message to your phone which will install all the settings for you automatically. You can even use IMAP Push then! |

If you want to use hotmail with your SE you could use flurry. Its a nice j2me app that lets you use your windows live mail account almost like a pop3 account.
Just search for flurry on google.

i can do that at the moment with opera mini, i want to be able to go into messages and go straight to email |

but see where it says e mail address, then is says username and then it says password.
What would my username be on the gmail account |

It sounds like the SE website has some problems...
You can try to use the autoconfiguration option in the phone. Go to messaging -> Email -> Accounts -> New account and follow the steps in the wizard. Depending on which operator SW you have the settings should be downloaded. |
