Get a grip @ Daedulus its now Oh Poo u work for lmao! I was in a Voda shop yesty exchanging my faulty E65 and I asked if I could have a Black 8GB N95 they said it would cost £200 its £400 on my tariff as much as I wanted it I asked them to send me another E65 which arrived today darm still same Software version to, but this phones Mocha brown not black this time! Voda rang me up greeting me to there network and have offered to extend my contract to 24mths for £20 instead of £25 im sure thats what he said anyway, can cancel it within 14days tho. What would u lot do? Ps. Is the grey N95 on Voda discontinued? Got told it is due to the black1

I would haggle for at LEAST an 18-month contract, 12 month if you can. Theres no way a 24-month contract is a good idea, you'd go mental.
And an E65? I'd aim higher, they don't cost them alot to buy them in because of their age. Regular N95's should be as cheap to get.
In my eyes, their ripping you off a bit. E65's aren't bad but ageing quickly.

Well E65 has many known faults and Voda prolly won't do a thing about it. We've had plenty come back, and Nokia have said the latest version of the software doesn't really cut it that well.
Think about what your going to use it for (if you want a nice camera, E65, isn't the way to go...) and pick something else.
Part of the reason alot of Voda phone's have software problems is because of the insane ammount of branding they have layered onto them.
Still, £25/month on 18 month should get you something half decent.
Also, E65's battery is known for being shit, much like the N95, because they share the same battery.

Suppose I could sell the E65 but doubt i'll get alot for it, its just a spare phone tbh ive used it for 14days appart from bugs n stuff it a ok phone, batterys better than my N80 but my N80 supports more applications. Voda only sell that 8GB N95 so I got told seems that Silver will be fazed out for good after xmas when the other networks get there paws on it! Daedulus are Nokia planning on doing any new update for the E65 btw if they brought out a reliable update im sure the phone would be good to go. Vodafone haven't ripped me of ive also got 3 mths half price rental at £12.50

No plans that I've heard of, best bet it try updating it yourself. It's within warranty and Nokia reccommend doing it yourself. From their website

I actually ran the Nokia Updater on the last handset but theres no Firmware updates for it, im just gutted that my exchange handset has the same firmware as the last one, prior to that im not using it ive put it back in the box not even taken the plastics off it.. lmao..
I contacted Nokia as they rsponded pretty quickley advising me to visit my nearest Nokia Centre ive emailed them "Intercity Mobile Communications Birmingham" to ask them if they would do it plus if they could do it for me whilst I wait I fingers crossed..
me taking it to tis place wont fudge up anything will it with Vodafone anyone know? I don't want it being sent off to Vodafone for weeks

If I were you, I'd change it for something else while you still have time. The home software updater often isn't much different from what they have in the repair centre, version wise, so if you don't have an update, Vodafone certainly won't and I'm doubtful Nokia will. I'd change it for another phone and get your 18-month back rather than 24 month too
