lots of options, Designs, forms, lots of OSes, lots of brands, lots of accessories from various brands and lots of users worldwide -software availability wise a zillion times more than a MAC

laptop(you can partition or convert this too)
or
mac.. partitioned/converted if you like to - debian sarge
or ubuntu
but debian has a nice big package of apps etc to offer |

a macbook with DOS3.3 (with enhanced mode support). A PocketPC with Vista? Sorry.
Seriously though, I'd take a PC, probably something like a Dell or Toshiba, with a fast processor and bucketloads of ram. I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at a macbook pro, though I'd run windows and linux mostly, but on value for money basis it's simpler to get a wintel machine.

A MacBook! Ad if you wanna make sure you've got power, memory and a decent graphics card, etc. Get a MacBook Pro!
