So i have been telling my friend for ages to get a sony ericsson, i told him about the k850 and he liked the sound of it, we both got ours from the same site as they dont sell it anywhere here in stores in the US, well vegas anyway. So he got it and all was well and then he made fun of me cus mine broke.
A week later his broke, he could no longer, open his applications and games, just like mine at the start, he didnt care about this. But then it got worse, he couldnt open his contacts at all. It would just click on the contact icon and not do anything, so when he would want to call someone or send a text he couldnt. So he tried the master reset and then that worked but the phone kept turning itself off and on.
the thing is out here in america we dont have the convenience of a store to walk in and get it fixed like you guys everywhere else, he called the site where he got it from and they were like its not our problem any more, he called SE and they said he had to send it to hong kong cus thats where that supplier got it from. See how hard it is for us here.
So finally i tried to reflash the phone using davinci......
it worked, its all working fine now, everything works just as usual. All with the latest software.
The only problem is he doesnt have the flash menus, anyone know how to fix this?
but its just annoying someone introduced to SE from me had to go through all this, he said hes never had such a problematic phone in his life |

hmmm, maybe flash themes have been disabled in that firmware?
Was it a generic/customized one? If you flash to a uk or asia one you will defo have the flash themes.

That doesn't matter wich region or language you choose. I'm in Canada running a Europe firmware. The Chinese version in the phone when i got it was working too.
Just be sure it have the right language for phone and t9 dictionary.

On a side note DonJuan, Why didn't you waited for the k850i to be available with some providers here?
I know our side of the sea, our carriers are like slow turtles when it come to new models introduction. But on the bright side, they let all the european bling-bling-look-at-me-i-have-the-latest dudes got all the problems with new releases and buggy firmwares. When they officially reach our stores, they are ok
