I am just wondering if anyone knows whether the new Sony Ericsson K630i would be able to work in the US and Canada? It is a triband phone with GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900. I know that the US and Canada uses GSM 850 and GSM 1900. Does that mean that if a particular mobile service provider uses GSM 850, I will not be able to use the phone even though it has GSM 1900???

Hope anyone with information can offer their advice to me. Thank you.

When a service provider uses one frequency band ONLY (i.e. GSM 850), it's not possible to use a phone, lacking this particular band, on its network.
