I need help with my K850i, its a simple question |

This question is for K850i owners :
I remember that before this phone was released they used to say in their pre-release reviews that this phone would have a special feature and it is : "The K850 comes with stylish light effects to make listening to music on the handset even more enjoyable". Supposedly, this means the lights on the phone will turn on and off along the rhythm of the music thats being currently played. I own a K850i and I havent seen that yet. Maybe I just dont know how to turn it on...
So, if a K850i owner here knows how to turn this on or how I can make it work, PLEASE tell me how....I will appreciate it !
And I saw that some users (for example, Plankgatan) are very knowledgeable about this phone.
Thanks in advance.

I saw that too. After getting the K850i I miss 2 things:
- Those light effects which prototypes allegadly had.
- On prototypes when previewing picture and clicking -> the current picture would slide out and the next one would slide into the screen, just as it is shown in the demo tour. |

@LCARS-Expert
I too remember reading this in a review - was it over on MR?
Regarding the other feature, I think you're talking about the slide-show. I am able to choose what kind of mood and the phone will present me with a slide show played to music in which pictures are shown moving around, zooming in, splittin in half etc. It is actually quite good and brought a smile to my face.
The light effects would have been good though. It seems the keypad lighting effects are capable of so much more.

You also get this when you pair a bluetooth device or headphones.

Yeah, I was reading that thread. I'd like to see those two locked in a room together, there'd be blood 'n' guts for days. Only messing, I hope those two can be nice to each other.
Yeah, when I plug my headphones in I get a ripple of lights across the keyboard. I would have liked to have had the music effects though.

No, not that. Even slideshow doesn't do that. There was a Youtube video showing the effect but it has been removed. The guy took a photo and set camera to preview mode, then he clicked <- and picture slided as it does in the Demo Tour (00:26). You can clearly see the >>| icon acting as when -> is clicked.
In the K850i presentation video (00:31) you can also see that effect when previewing photos. |

No this is not a feature in the final k850i, but you got the photo viewing mode called x-pict story. (when you are watching your photos at the media menu, just press the middle soft key with the "play" icon)... Not that I have used it too many times, but I still think it is a funny way to watch my photos. |

^^No, thats what I thought it was but he's talking about viewing snaps when in preview mode using the switch on the side of the phone.

I hope I won't have to draw it you, even X-Pict story doesn't have that effect. I'm talking about previewing image!

Correct.
Check the Demo Tour, it was meant to happen in the media menu too, some prototypes had that feature. As well as keyboard light effects when playing music.
Picture sliding effect was obviously planned since it is in the Demo Tour of released phones. |

So, is it a lie or not ?? Is there a way I can turn that feature "on" on my cell phone??? Or it was just for prototypes??? |

It was only on prototypes. It might appear with one of firmware updates later on when they make good quality drivers for the new platform that K850i uses. |
