imo, select Flash Custom Software. if you select upgrade software you will have your current firware upgrade and branded.

Was thinking of buying a new k850 for £140. Branded on vodaphone. Was just wondering whether flashing it with the generic firmware, will also remove the sim lock.

I have a o2 uk Quicksliver version of the K850i, Ive bought a credit because i want to debrand it but I can't find a firmware on the client to use. The only UK ones I find are for the blue or green versions. Does anyone have any idea on which one I should use?

You can upload either Blue or Green firmware to QuickSilver phone, vice versa. They are all the same, don't worry. I tried it myself and I flashed my Velvet Blue with R1E037 QuickSilver firmware yesterday, and it works like a charm. Even SEUS still recognises my phone and kindly enough gives me 'Continue Anyway' option.

Hi, first post for me.
Getting another replacement K850i after the first two crashed after being crippled by Orange firmware.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Orange (UK) if you have to return the phone after debranding?
Will it void my warranty? (I am on Pay Monthly)
And, When you flash it to the customized blue firmware for UK, will it still have the right settings for me to connect to the internet?
Thanks

Thanks, I think I start to understand now. Just one more thing. I've heard that while my phone is being patched it is all done trough the internet, but my internet is quite poor and it usually stops so if it stops while the program is patching my phone is it possible that I'be left with a dead phone? and I was wondering if there is allready a newer software because a friend of mine with the same phone is allready something like R1FA031 or something like that (the word was F I'm allmost sure of it) and do I have to patch my phone EXACTLY to For the Blue model K850

Version: R1CA037
Phone: K850
Customization: 1201-9794 CUSTOMIZED UK/BLUE
CDA: 1202-5694
Date: 27/11/2007
or can I use the same customization but whit a newer version?
sry for my bad english
Thanks
