sorry if this is the wrong place, but i got a dillemma....
i've got a k850i at the moment, with a some dust in the lens. so i phoned up o2 and asked if they could exchange it, and for some reason (i got rather trigger happy) i ended up with an lg viewty coming to replace the k850i....
i think the viewty is ace, but i'm not sure i want to change to it from k850i.
o2 said if i want to keep my phone then i can just refuse delivery and it'll be sent back.
so the thing is, will i be making a mistake if i move to viewty? |

^^ If you're willing to forget SE's new menu UI with a flash based menu in Viewty, and you're willing to loose all that camera capabilities K850 has. and if you're willing to use touchscreen instead of a hard screen with touch and non touch sensitive keypad. then it's okay. go for it(Viewty). anyway that's a lovely phone

that's the viewty...
i've decided in the end to stick with the SE K850i because:
viewty isn't compatible with address book
viewty can't take full advantage of salling clicker (phone events)
viewty has not got user-upgradable firmware...
also aparrently the camera isn't quite as good either... although the video quality is top-notch, |

What did you say to O2... I have had my SE K850i for just under 1 month and disappointed... keeps restarting, freezing and the interface is just slow... Would like to swap for a viewty but dont know how long I have... |

Get an N95
Its far more capable than the SE and records amazing video too.
Oh and you can plug it into your TV for full screen games and video and pictures etc etc
<----- The K850 on the left is pants... gave up after 4 faulty ones. Nokia N95 now and its the dogs dangly bits |

Of Course if you go with N95 you wanna go for the 8GB model sleeker better. Thats if you want to go to that option. Or N82 or G800 plenty choice out there .

if you allready have k850...stay with it.
just look at the camera test here on esato between viewty & k850..there won k850 quite easy (on the camera functions), because it have better camera features, and manage indoor, flash, night pics better................
think viewty is a ok phone, but its to big for me.
it also record videos very good...120 fps (at QVGA resolution), 30 fps at VGA resolution. thats its triumf card..............
so if you want good pics...k850
or if you want good video....viewty
here is the scores from the test by the way...k850 got higher scores on all camera tests...landscape, night, macro, detail.

with lg u have no support. for a happy fone usage u should take a nokia or se imo, where u get many apps,, games, thms etc etc and next to it great support on esato, where many happy nokia nd se users share knowledge and help each other

QFT.
Viewty looks nice but the camera is lacking! The others mentioned by dragon546 are better camera phones and if Nokia have fixed many of the problems in the new 8GB N95 that plagued the original N95 then that certainly would be the best choice!
Can't believe I am recommendng Nokia but lets be honest, the K850i is not what we expected and SE's Q&A seems to be lacking in several areas!
Good luck with your choice. |

Viewty sits comfortably at or near the top of the 5mp camphones IMO, it's a real class contender, i would be very wary of dismissing it lightly.

I currently have a k850i and I had a the original N95 but at the end its down to personal preference. There are features that I liked on both phones and don't like.
My own thoughts does the phone do you want it to do? if does not look for alternatives. Lately I have seen many threads of members sniping each other about the handset they got. It just reminds me how fanatical people can be. Its like the console argument which is better Wii vs 360 vs PS3 surely most members have grown out of this mentality by now.
