hmmm i have heard that it is possable to unlock/de brand phones throught
xs++ (if this is true why pay to have it unlocked thought online services)
this must be true anyway because all that is required is a standard usb cable

anyway the best way to de brand a contract phone is magically lose it and claim a new one on insursance
(really though when sony claims that the is a memory card boxed with the phone you expect a sony branded one not a sandisk ( nothing against sandisk)

Hello everyone! I'm new here on ESATO, is my first post, but I've been reading this forum for more than a half year. A couple a months ago, I've got a K850 unlocked but branded Vodafone DE. For debranding I used service of totalgsm. Has a great online support (via Y!Messenger or Windows Live Messenger). With vodafone 029 f/w, my phone was buggy (I had that java error with "operation failed" after a master reset). Now I have a Generic Central Europe 037 f/w, and waiting for major update, this month (I hope).

Again, I truly recommend TotalGSM. Is a great service.

(I didnt use DaVinci because was some problems with my PayPal account, and I make the pay to TotalGSM via MoneyBookers, and all it was very OK.)

Just want to say thanks to totalgsm for their very professional service, i set out to get vodafone uk firmware for my w960i. I was unsucessful, having to flash with the davinci modpack. However they refunded my money 100%.

Would highly recommend, even to the skeptical amongst you hehe.

I've just visited their site and it looks like a slick operation. However, they don't mention any support for the new K770i

Can someone enlighten me? DaVinci don't have it yet either.

My K770i is branded by Vodafone UK and I'm anxious to de-brand it as soon as possible, if not yesterday.

Not good.

Followed instructions to the letter.

KKClient failed to read the phone. Are you sure you have K770i support? It's only been out since last November, y'know.

I hope that's not 10 quid down the toilet!

By the way, the Youtube video cannot be viewed - it is too blurred.

I suggest you use these folks with caution.

Here is a reply I received from them yesterday ...

________________________________________________________
Sorry if you do not install the USBFlash drivers correctly it will not work.
Plus you do not need to teach us which phone is supported or not.
If we say it is supported it is, otherwise we would not be there in this business.
Contact us on MSN or email our support at frontech@gmail.com with your log.
Esato is not our support forum.

Well, excuse me - but who asked them to post on this thread in the first place? And if that's how they speak to their customers, I will not be doing any business with them in the future. I guess I can kiss my ten quid goodbye!

You can all draw your own conclusions about how wise it is to use these people. They're probably just out of short pants judging by their immature comment.

I will be staying with DaVinci, thank you very much. Like a good pint of Guinness - it is worth the wait.

I think what this thread needs is some more first time posters telling us these guys are the dogs bollocks!

that would restore my trust in this operation..

Hahaaa. Its like the original ebay scam in "Bidding wars" with the seller under a different username.

For those in London, just goto oxford street. Its 25quid max to unlock.
