You can use the SEUS (sony ericsson update service) to search for and update your phone of any new firmware available, details are on the Sony Ericsson website.

Alright there guys,
I've just had my K850i unlocked by totalgsm, and thought i'd tell someone about it! I couldn't find anywhere that could unlock these new A2 phones, but totalgsm are able and have done mine- took about 5mins! I'm so pleased. The company is excellent, efficient and the customer service is awsome! I would def recommend them to anyone wanting to unlock their phone!

I used TotalGSM to debrand my W910i for 20 euro. Pretty good price, service is great and were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and use again.

guess they are happy customers but its maybe a bit weird, to register cos of 1 post... that unlock should work, thats not the problem, but this way of "advertisement" ( i mean just to pop in and say its ok ) is weird...

Strange. 3 new posters try to glorify Totalgsm at same time.
No doubt - great news, but prices are not that low, at all

Ok so it might not be that cheap, but after walking around Liverpool and Manchester looking for a phone shop that would infact be able to unlock the K850i, that we recently recieved, we stumbled across totalgsm on the internet. Was unsure wether it would work, but we thought it was our only chance as we are too impatient to wait for the shops to recieve the software. Thankfully it has worked and totalgsm has spent quite a lot of time with us unlocking the phone, we encountered a few problems but they were mostly our fault as we are not techy people. I would just like to say a big thank you to them cause they are great!

I knew that mate... I often using SEUS (and wotan too) to upgrade firmwares of all my SE phones. The problem is, the new firmware for K850 is not available yet on SEUS but I really need to upgrade that firmware.
Anyway, thanks for suggestion.

SEUS will just do updates , not the upgrades.
Best thing to do in case of bugs is to reflash with latest firmware.

guys nothing to worry about.
We have been in this business for over 4 years now and we have good name.
Just goes on
The unlocking is instant and is done through cable.
Not many can unlock DB3150 ie A2 platform , requires access to SE activation dongle costs 10K-25K euro and is not available easily- need contacts in Russia.
More over having the dongle just wont help you will need a client for it , server and integrate the stuff.
Not a easy job , there all this adds to the cost.
Also no team online provides remote assistance , but we do. So any customer is rest assured that his/her phone will be unlocked for sure.

This guy is awesome, would definantely recommend sudashan.

This person put himself out for me and had my phone unlocked he even got out of his bed to debrand my phone, you dont see alot of that happening nowadays.

If you are considering unlocking and/or debranding your Sony Ericsson K850i, then i would definantely recommend Totalgsm.org your phone unlocked that day with no delay, apart from having to wait for the unlock codes and that takes a couple of hours but like they say good things come to those who wait. This is a very helpful and friendly service and i would definanetly go back to him if I bought another phone later on.

I would like to thank totalgsm and sudashan for all his help i am now hapily using my phone thank you guys and have a great christmas and wishing you all the best for 2008 including the readers of this post

Thanx

Please, spam this service some more. I feel like there aren't enough 'satisfied customers' in this thread!
