My K750 joystick is giving me a hard time, sometimes working sometimes not. Can I spray a little electrical contact cleaner down the joystick or will it ruin it completely?
Thanks. |

^^ My advice is to use a kind of liquid that cleans the metal terminals inside the joystick and mix it with a rubbing alcohol. i used that with my 2 Joystick based SE phone K300 including my avatar T68 and cover the joystick module around with a piece of paper or anything that could block the dust from getting in 3 weeks since now and still my unreplaced joysticks still worked perfect!

i never knew that cleaning can do the trick in a joy stick. i gave up my k750 before because of that joystick problem.

Thanks for the help. Sometimes when the joystick acts up I spray some compressed air around it, it becomes fine for a while and then starts to do the same thing again. So I figured that since electrical contact cleaner is made for electrical components and doesn't harm them that I might be using it on the joystick without harm. I'm still a bit nervous about doing this though!! |

ita also possible, that the joy has to be replaced. if some dust came in to the joy direct ( what could happen sadly esaily, cos no rubber ring at k750, like at w800 )

On my old k750i the joystick stopped working totally. I tried to replace it but I messed it up, and had to remove it totally.
One month ago I lost it out of my pocket, and down in to the deep blue ocean it went.
I used a 6 year old brick for a couple of weeks, until I got enough money to buy a k850i.
I would probably bought k810i if it haven't got that fu**** SE joystick!
So my word of the month:
Don't buy an SE with Joystick, and zip your pockets when you are gone fishing.
