I'll apologize in advance if this post belongs in a different section, or if the answers to my questions are listed somewhere else. I have been browsing this site for about a month now, but am still very confused. I went to the newbie section, but it wasn't too user friendly. There should be a "Newbie Guide" for the popular phones. I have a Ericsson T68m that I paid to get unlocked, and upgraded to T68i.
I know that this phone is supposed to have tons of cool features, but to date, I have only been taking advantage of the voice command features, receiving SMS (and occasional MMS). I've been searching for a site that has ringtones that can be entered via the composer to no avail, as tips on here talk about downloading them, and I have no idea how.
How do I download stuff? Do I need that data cable thing? Can I just send them to my phone somehow? (I don't have Bluetooth on my cpu) How do I access email, and such? Do I have to pay extra for these services? GPRS? (Global Package ?? System) GSM? WAP? (what exactly are those?) I'm sorry for all the questions, but I bought the phone through e-bay, and haven't received much support from Sony Ericsson, and have had a hard time navigating this site.
If you have the extra time, please help. I promise to reciprocate the knowledge that is passed on to me.
p.s. Is there a CHAT for Esato? What does Esato mean anyway?

to download stuff u have to save it from a site to your comp and then either use  (bluetooth), irda (infra-red) or datacable to send it to your fone. (in some cases u mite also b able 2 use email or mms 2 send 2 ur fone) If the file isnt to big and is available on wap you can also download it from there str8 to ur fone. for composer ringtones use this site: http://www.mrtones.net .For imelodies use this site: http://www.jaggie.co.uk/t68iwap - from this site u can either download from wap or download to comp and then send to fone.
gprs = general packet radio service - its a wap connection but you are alwayz connected and only pay for the data sent/received not by the time u r online. wap it is charged by the time u r online. both of these services r network dependant.
email you have to set up on your fone. (if you want the ip address for your email server let me or ne1 else know.)
no there is no chat. esato stands for "  only take a sony ericsson " backwards (i think)
