ok guys i have bought my ericsson t68i last saturday and i am thinking of chaging it for the nokia 7650 - reason for this are

1, my ericsson tends to crash sometimes - it freezes
2, receptin is not that good
3, picture quality is poor when comapred to the nokia
4, nokia7650 seems to have much more features than the ericsson

Any comments will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

hi mate i upgraded my t68 for 7650 a week ago and its very good features wise. it has all the stuff the t68 has but more. cos its symbian u can download stuff onto it. for example im using mine to play doom, use it as a remote for my PC MP3 collection etc
its much better stability wise as well. ive installed loadsa stuff and it has not crashed once.
i was gonna wait 4 the P800 but got annoyed cos of its delay
i hope that helps

try using both... the T68i wasn't meant to compete with the 7650... in the end it's all about which phone u enjoy using...

Wait a few more weeks and get a SonyEricsson P800. It's much better than the Nokia 7650.

@ken4819

Lets look at the reasons you want to swap...

1, my ericsson tends to crash sometimes - it freezes
That's a faulty phone by the sounds of things, if you get a new phone it shouldn't happen.

2, reception is not that good
Chances are getting a new phone won't help, if its on the same network.

3, picture quality is poor when comapred to the nokia
Admittedly yes it is. As stated in another followup if you're looking for good photo quality, head for the p800.

4, nokia7650 seems to have much more features than the ericsson.
I haven't actually seen any features on the 7650 that the t68i doesn't have. Could you tell me what you've seen that says otherwise, please?

Plus the 7650 only comes with the Snake game. You would have thought Nokia would be a bit bored of that now, the people who own Nokias certainly seem to be doing.

Food for thought- i have a t68i. Thereafter i had a 7650. After 5 days of extended use, i sold the nokia. No regrets at all.

One thing about the 7650 that is an instant turn-off for me is the sliding section. I must admit I've never liked that from day one - A curving slide to me just looks wrong.

Plus the size of the buttons on the actual slide out section remind me of an old remote control - anyone else think this?

Plus of course the 7650 doesn't have a spankingly good flashing blue light for which although great flashing at daytime isn't half annoying at nightime when you're trying to sleep and the light is on constant

You're kidding, right? How about Java support and polyphonic ringtones to name a few. And I won't even mention the fact that it has Symbian OS and a large number of third-party apps (e.g. video recording software) and games (e.g. Doom) already available for it.

Where can I buy an unlocked T68i? Also, from what I've read here, I can see I should also be asking where i can buy unlocked 7650 or the p800.

US and Canada are okay for me buying wise. Also will be going to London next week, so sources to buy there (and Germany) are okay, too.

If not too much trouble, please also email bob cov at a oh L dot com.

Take all the spaces and such out to get a valid email address.
