[K850i Camera lens query - Done] New query on PictBridge |

Hi guys I have problems with the PictBridge function again.
As I own a Canon MP370 and a Panasonic Lumix FX07
I haven't got my Lumix until recently, and so I never had the chance to try out the pictBridge feature on my MP370 printer which I purchased 2 years ago.
Read thru' the manuals and found out that the K850i has the ability to print via pictBridge too, and so i tried connecting it (with the PC turned on & off) but my K850i keeps on displaying that the printer could not be found.
Initially I thought that the drivers were outdated, but I checked the Canon website and proved that I'm using the same old (& latest) drivers, as far as Win XP is concerned.
Downloaded the PDF manual files for my Lumix FX07 & Canon MP370 and followed the instructions for PictBridge printing. Succeeded with the PC turned off; meaning that the usb port for pictbridge is still working.
Anyone who happens to own a MP370 printer and K850i here? Please try or perhaps give some tips if you've tried out pictbridge on the K850i before.
Thank you.

hi guys got some doubts in mind, some may think it's stupid though,
but can anyone tell me if the lens part is there any covering by some thin sheet of plastic when shipped?
the default protectors that worn off at the front and back, but what about the lens part is it covered?
My shots seemed blur.

If the shots just get blur and not husky and dark, then the problem might simply be that you are not holdong the camera enough still. Do a test:
Put the camera on a table or something, use auto settings, see to it that you have pretty good light, aim the camera so that it has a point or a thing to focus on, take a shot by using the timer so that the camera goes of on it's own. See teh result. If the shot got sharp then the problem probably is that you haven't got practise enough how to hold it steady. If the shot still gets blurred the you have to try again mayby with a different motif. If the shots still gets blurred then you might have a faulty camera.
Try this and let me know! |

For some bizarre reason the protective plastic on the back of the K850 when shipped has a hole where the lens is... and there has been no plastic protector over the lens on the 3 (so far) I've had in the UK. |

hi fullforce,
It turns out that i've got rather unstable hands at times. Sometimes the shots turn out okay. its not the problem with the lens nor camera.
Been playing around with the 3 ISOs lately. =)
Thank you for your time ^_^.
hi joemax,
your reply cleared my doubts. thank you very much. i was thinking that maybe some hard-to-wear off protector was on top of the lens that made my shots of inferior quality as compared to the ones posted in the forum. |
