Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object.
You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the truck)

Woah, that's a great tip, but wouldn't the speakers have to be really loud to trigger the alarm unlock?
Never mind, now its a good excuse to go get myself a MDS75 speaker unit for my P1. Heh, heh

@jkumar: its not about sound bro...its about signal transmission...from what our friend here says, the UNLOCK signal from the remote should be transmitted through cellular networks to ur cell and thus go on to unlock the car beside u...im sceptical, but will try and let u know [addsig]

I know someone who claims he has done this before, although I never knew weather to trust him or not. Although now anyer has made a post about it I guess it probally does work. Will have to try it sometime for myself now
