this is old news. I don't know if i agree with the killing the iphone statement though. and the date for this handset the N82 has not been released yet, nor has it officially been confirmed.

No way to kill iPhone.Totally different class devices.N82-top cameraphone,iPhone-top image phone.Nobody who likes iPhone will like N82 and vice versa.Except some of the forum members, who appreciate all the features N82 has.But the mass market is not the forum, its a different thing.

Totally agree with what Miyagi & icaka say & untill an official release date with specs etc are confirmed you cant judge the N82 against anything.
This phone with its rumoured specs has been around for months with very little substance & I think we were all hoping for some news last fri but to no avail so at the time being lets just say that "on paper" the N82 looks very very good

Come on Nokia stop keeping us waiting........

Unless its running new Hardware and Feature pack i doubt it will be better than the N95-8GB. From those specs it sounds like an N73 sucssesor to me.
I cant wait til the next announcement!!! i wonder when we will see an N93 sucssesor

Its not only the screen that make a phone better than other... Iphone=great screen and user interface but... 2mp camara, no radio, no gps, no video recording, crap for messaging etc.. N82 just like n95 got by far better specs than iphone. But i dont know why do you want huge screens on a phone! It only will make it big and bulky. if you want big screens in a portable device why dont buy a sony vaio TX series??:P For me 2.4" -2.8" size is enough for me since i dont care much about that and more about other aspects like sunlight visibility, brightness, colors etc...
